It Came From Outer Space: Aliens, mad scientists, monsters, and more make up our spoof of 1950s sci-fi/monster movies! Like Creative Theatre, the students create the play, but we follow a basic outline as the play is built. It's a battle between Earth and Aliens. Can the world be saved? We will find out this summer in Newtown!
Creative Theatre Camp (ages 11-14)
Classic Comedy: Make ‘em laugh! Students work in different comedic styles from the harlequin to Shakespeare to vaudeville to Emmett Kelly to the Marx Brothers. The elements of physical comedy, including timing and working without words, are the focus in this program. While the students help create the play, the plot and characters are part of a series of misunderstandings.
