Comicbook Camp (ages 8+)

Hot off the press, this camp is for future illustrators and writers! Campers will develop their own character that will be implemented into a storyboard and then a comic book. Campers will learn the difference between splash pages, speech/thought bubbles, captions, and more. This class is heavy on drawing and coloring. This class is heavy on drawing. If your child loves to draw/create comics, students as young as 7 can be accepted. This is not a figure drawing class. You can take this class more than once and create something new!
Each day a different component of the comicbook will be made along with other projects to include:
- Onomatopoeia Painting – give a word action with this onomatopoeia painting focusing on color, stroke and movement
- Glass Painting Superhero – select from a few superheroes to make your own reverse glass painting
- Skyscraper Printmaking – create a metropolis using gelli plates and cut paper
