This fun, interactive and hands-on workshop explores how to practice proper standing and sitting posture at a desk. No equipment required. All levels of deskbound professionals are welcome to join. DeskFlex: Desk Exercises for Posture and Productivity
Sitting at a desk or computer all day takes a toll on more than just your eyes. It affects your posture, metabolism, risk of anxiety or depression and can lead to obesity, just to name a few . . .In this workshop you will learn how to counter the effects of habitual slumping and spinal compression. Together we will practice simple exercises to strengthen the spine, pelvic floor and abdominals, while stretching the tight muscles which lead to a hunched posture. Please bring a foam roller and loop resistance band with you. All levels of deskbound professionals are welcome to join.
