Junior Fire Camp (ages 10-15)

Newtown Township Parks & Recreation Department and Newtown Fire Rescue are happy to announce our first annual Junior Fire Camp. The camp will be offered for children between the ages of 10 and 15 years old. In this one day camp, children will learn about fire safety, tour the fire apparatus, learn basic firefighting skills, compete in competitions, tour a medevac helicopter, and more! Included in registration is a t-shirt and award for participation.

Please pack water and a drink for lunch. Pizza will be provided. If your child does not prefer pizza please pack a lunch.

Program Schedule
10AM-11AM: Introduction, meet the firefighters and staff, Fire Truck Tour, Fire Safety Talk and Try on Turnout
Gear
11AM-12PM: Hoseline Obstacle Course Race/Skill Stations (fire hydrant, door prop, rescue tool, throw bags)
12-12:30: Lunch
12:30-1PM; Ambulance Tour/Fire Extinguisher Prop/Fire Prevention Trailer
1-1:30PM: Auto Extrication DEMO
1:30-2PM: Awards Ceremony and Closing
