Students will explore foods and cultures from around the world through hands-on cooking and cultural activities. Each day will focus on a different country where campers will prepare traditional recipes and participate in a related cultural activity. This camp encourages creativity, teamwork, cultural awareness, and basic cooking skills. Each camper will receive a “passport” at the start of the week to complete activities and recipes.

A MATERIALS FEE OF $55 IS DUE TO THE INSTRUCTOR ON THE FIRST DAY OF CAMP.
Schedule
Monday – France
Recipes: Sweet Crêpes, Mini Tarts
Cultural Activity: Eiffel Tower Building Challenge
Campers will work in small groups to build the tallest Eiffel Tower using spaghetti and marshmallows (or
toothpicks and mini marshmallows).
Tuesday – Japan
Recipes: Sushi Rolls (vegetable and California-style), Miso Soup
Cultural Activity:Chopstick Challenge
Practice using chopsticks with popcorn
Origami Station
Wednesday – Italy
Recipes: Fresh Pasta, Homemade Marinara Sauce, Garlic Knots
Cultural Activity: Regions of Italy Food Map activity
Thursday – Mexico
Recipes: Build-Your-Own Tacos, Baked Churros with Cinnamon Sugar
Cultural Activity: Mexican culture and food discussion with themed activity
Friday – Greece
Recipes: Chicken Souvlaki Skewers, Tzatziki Sauce, Pita Bread, Greek Salad Cups
Cultural Activity: Mini Olympics inspired by the original Olympic Games in Greece
