Design Your Suds: A Hands-On Melt & Pour Soap Workshop Register View Cart

Have you ever wanted to make your own soap but felt hesitant about working with lye? Melt & Pour soap making offers a simple, approachable way to create beautiful, handcrafted soaps-without handling lye yourself.

In a time when many people are paying closer attention to the products they use every day, this workshop offers a practical introduction to making soap with greater awareness of ingredients, fragrance choices, and personal preferences. It’s also a chance to slow down, be creative, and enjoy the satisfaction of making something useful with your own hands.

In Design Your Suds, participants will learn:

  • the fundamentals of melt & pour soap making
  • the different types of melt & pour soap bases
  • how to work with colorants, botanicals and fragrance or essential oils
  • why temperature control is essential for achieving smooth pours, clean layers, and professional-looking results
  • practical tips for finishing, storing and preserving your handcrafted soap

Participants will explore a variety of design techniques and create three handcrafted bars of melt & pour soap, each reflecting their own creative choices.

Share the experience! This workshop offers a wonderful opportunity for mothers and daughters, or other special pairs, to enjoy a creative experience together. Teens 12–17 are welcome with an adult for this specialized class.

All class materials and necessary equipment are provided and included in the registration fee.

Participants are encouraged to bring an apron and tie back long hair for comfort and safety.

Melt & pour soap requires time to cool and set. Depending on the design and room temperature, soaps may be ready to take home the same day. If additional setting time is needed, arrangements will be made for pick up the following day.
