Newtown Township Parks & Recreation keeps participants informed of any program closures and cancellations by email. We ask that you confirm that you received the email.
Schools Closed
If Council Rock School District closes school or cancels after-school activities, Newtown Township Parks & Recreation programs held at their facilities will be cancelled.
Delayed School Opening
If Council Rock School District has a delayed opening, all classes will be held at their usual time.
Field Conditions
Newtown Township Parks & Recreation has numerous programs being held at various parks throughout Newtown. If the department feels the field conditions are too wet, dangerous or unplayable, the program will be cancelled.
Refunds/Household Credit
Refunds will not be given due to weather cancellations; however, we will try to schedule a makeup date. Household credits will be given if 2 or more of the same class cannot be rescheduled. If inclement weather affects a one-day program, we will try our best to reschedule the program. If you cannot make the new date, you will receive a household credit or a full refund.
