Gentle Yoga - Gentle Yoga A slower-paced form of yoga, gentle yoga, or restorative yoga, emphasizes relaxation, flexibility, mindfulness and deep breathing. Typically, practitioners hold poses for longer periods, helping to build strength. It is designed to be accessible to everyone, including beginners, seniors, and those with physical limitations or returning to yoga after an injury. Poses can be modified to accommodate all abilities and can include the use of props, such as blankets, blocks and chairs, as needed. Focusing on breath work and connecting with the body can also calm the mind and reduce stress. It is designed to be accessible to everyone, including beginners, seniors, and those with physical limitations or returning to yoga after an injury. Poses can be modified to accommodate all abilities and can include the use of props, such as blankets, blocks and chairs, as needed.
