2026 Summer Camp Employment
Newtown Township Parks & Recreation is looking for staff who are Enthusiastic, Responsible, Positive & Creative!
All camp staff are required to be available for the entire camp session and will be expected to attend every day.
Camp Dates:
Camp Newtown & Junior Explorers - Mon-Fri, June 29-August 7
Adventure Camp - Mon-Fri, June 29-August 7(please note 8/7 will be used for cleanup only, if necessary. Full staff will not be needed every Friday, will be up to director's discretion)
Teen Xtreme Camp - 3 weeks, July 13-31
There is no camp on July 3rd for any of the camps.
TRAINING: Staff training and camp setup is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, June 25th and 26th and is mandatory for all camp employees and volunteers. CPR and First Aid Training will take place on Wednesday, June 24th, if you are not certified.

Camp Locations
- Camp Newtown: six weeks, full day, grades 1-5, at Newtown Elementary School
- Jr Explorers Camp: six weeks, half day, ages 4-6, at Wrightstown Elementary School
- Adventure Camp: six weeks, full day, grades 6-8, at Newtown Middle School
- Teen Xtreme Camp: three weeks, full day, ages 13-15, at Veterans Park (Director/Counselors 18+ Needed)
Salary
- Camp Management (college degree in education preferred, must be at least 21 years old) - starting at $18 per hour (Teen Xtreme Camp)
- Junior Explorers Counselors (16+) - starting at $13 per hour
- Full Day Adventure Camp Counselor (currently in 12th grade or older) - $15 per hour
- Camp Newtown Counselor (16+) - starting at $13 per hour
- Substitute Counselors (16+) - starting at $13 per hour
- CIT/Volunteers (must be at least 15 years old)
- All staff under the age of 18 must submit a workers permit with their application
