2025 Summer Camp Employment

Newtown Township Parks & Recreation is looking for staff who are Enthusiastic, Responsible, Positive & Creative!

All camp staff are required to be available for the entire camp session and will be expected to attend every day. 

Camp Dates:
Camp Newtown & Camp Beechtree - Mon-Fri, June 30-August 8
Adventure Camp - Mon-Fri, June 30-August 8 (please note 8/8 will be used for cleanup only, if necessary. Full staff will not be needed every Friday, will be up to director's discretion)
Playground Camp - Mon-Fri, June 30-August 1st

There is no camp on July 4th for any of the camps. 

TRAINING: Staff training and camp setup is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, June 26th and 27th and is mandatory for all camp employees and volunteers. CPR and First Aid Training will take place on Wednesday, June 25th, if you are not certified.

Camp Locations
  • Camp Newtown: six weeks, full day, grades 1-5, at Newtown Elementary School
  • Camp Beechtree: six weeks, half day, ages 4-6, at Wrightstown Elementary School
  • Playground Camp: five weeks, half day, grades 1-4, at Goodnoe Elementary School
  • Adventure Camp (must be at least 18 y/o): six weeks, full day, grades 6-8, at Newtown Middle School
  • Substitute Counselor positions are available (ages 16+)

Salary
  • Camp Management (college degree in education preferred, must be at least 21 years old) - starting at $18 per hour
  • Full Day Adventure Camp Counselor (currently in 12th grade or older) - starting at $15 per hour
  • Camp Newtown Counselor (16+) - starting at $12 per hour
  • Half Day Counselors (16+) - starting at $12 per hour
  • Substitute Counselors (16+) - starting at $12 per hour
  • CIT/Volunteers (must be at least 15 years old)
  • All staff under the age of 18 must submit a workers permit with their application
